You passed the evaluation, you're funded, and you're making money. Now the question that actually matters: how quickly and how much can you withdraw?
Payout rules vary wildly between futures prop firms. Some pay daily. Some make you wait 14 days. Some cap your first payout at $1,000. Some take 100% of everything above a buffer. We compared the payout mechanics of every major CME futures prop firm to find out who actually pays the fastest and the most.
The Payout Dimensions That Matter
When comparing payout rules, five things determine your real take-home:
- Processing speed — How fast does the money hit your account?
- Profit split — What percentage do you keep?
- Payout caps — Is there a limit per withdrawal or per lifetime?
- Between-payout requirements — How many trading days, winning days, or other hurdles exist between payouts?
- Payout methods — Rise, ACH, crypto, wire, PayPal?
Let's break down each one.
Fastest Processing Times
Speed matters, especially for traders who depend on payout cash flow.
DayTraders — Automated payouts via Plane, averaging approximately 32 minutes from request to deposit. This is the fastest in the industry by a wide margin. No manual review, no waiting days — the system processes your request automatically. DayTraders also recently launched S2L (Straight to Live), which offers daily payouts on a real brokerage account.
Purdia Capital — Daily payouts from Day 1 of the Live Funded Account (LFA), processed within 24 hours. Purdia's 3-phase structure (Eval, SFA, LFA) means you need to get through the SFA bridge first, but once you're on LFA, daily withdrawals are available immediately.
My Funded Futures Rapid — Daily payouts with a $500 minimum. First payout available 24 hours after your first trade (once the buffer is built). No consistency rule, no minimum profitable days. The buffer requirement ($2,100-$4,600 depending on size) is the only gate.
For most other firms, processing takes 24-48 hours via Rise or similar platforms.
Best Profit Splits
Your profit split determines how much of every dollar you actually keep.
DayTraders — 100% flat. No progression, no tiers. Every dollar of profit is yours. The trade-off: a $150,000 total lifetime withdrawal cap.
Apex Trader Funding — 100% on your first $25,000 in lifetime payouts, then 90/10 after. This is effectively a $25K bonus compared to firms that start at 90/10 from day one.
Tradeify — 100% on your first $15,000 cumulative, then 90/10. Similar structure to Apex but with a lower threshold.
Trade Day — Offers an alternative split: 100% of the first $10,000, then 90/10. Their standard progression is 80/20, stepping to 90/10 after $50K lifetime, then 95/5 after $100K.
Alpha Futures Advanced — 90/10 flat from day one. No progression to wait for, but no 100% introductory period either.
For most firms, 80/20 or 90/10 is the standard. The 100% introductory splits at DayTraders, Apex, and Tradeify provide meaningful early-stage advantages.
Payout Caps to Watch
Some firms limit how much you can withdraw per payout or per lifetime. These caps can significantly impact long-term earnings.
E8 Futures — Progressive per-payout caps that scale up:
- Payout 1: $1,000
- Payout 2: $1,500
- Payout 3: $2,250
- Payout 4: $3,500
- Payout 5+: $5,250+
Early payouts are heavily restricted. You need to survive 4 payout cycles before you can withdraw meaningful amounts.
FundedNext — Per-plan caps on Rapid: 25K caps at $400-$800, 50K at $800-$1,600, 100K at $1,500-$3,000 (payouts 1-5, then lifted). Bolt program: 5 total withdrawals then the account closes.
DayTraders — $150,000 total lifetime cap per user across all accounts. Per-payout caps: $1,000-$5,000 depending on account size.
My Funded Futures Pro — $100,000 total payout cap per user. Excess profits above the cap transfer to your live balance.
Lucid Trading LucidFlex — Fixed per-payout caps that don't scale up. After 6 payouts, you transition to LucidLive.
Firms without explicit per-payout caps (like Purdia's "no max cap, recommended up to 40% of lifetime profits") give more flexibility but may have other constraints.
Between-Payout Requirements
These are the hurdles you must clear between each withdrawal request.
Apex Trader Funding: 8 trading days between payouts, with 5 of those days being profitable at a minimum of $50 each. Maximum 6 payout requests total on the Performance Account. 30% windfall rule expires after the 6th payout.
Topstep: 5 Benchmark Days between payouts. Standard XFA requires 5 winning days at $150+ minimum. Consistency XFA requires 3 winning days with a 40% consistency target.
Legends Trading: 10 trading days + 5 winning days between payouts. Minimum payout of $1,000. Buffer must be maintained (starting balance + $100 after withdrawal).
E8 Futures: 5 profitable days between payouts, each with at least 0.3% gain. 35% best day rule per cycle.
Tradeify Growth: 5 profitable days between payouts. Minimum balance requirements ($53K/$104.5K/$156.5K by size). 35% consistency per cycle.
My Funded Futures Rapid: No between-payout requirements beyond the buffer. No consistency rule, no minimum profitable days. Once the buffer is built, daily payouts are available.
Purdia Capital: Daily payouts from Day 1 of LFA. SFA phase requires 10 days with 5 profitable to transition, but once on LFA, there are no between-payout hurdles.
The difference between "5 profitable days at $50+" and "10 trading days + 5 winning days" is enormous in practice. Fewer requirements mean faster access to your profits.
Payout Methods
Most firms have converged on Rise (formerly Riseworks) as the primary payout platform, but options vary:
- Rise: Used by most firms — Apex, Topstep, E8, Trade Day, Tradeify, Legends, and others
- ACH/Bank transfer: Available at Purdia (direct), My Funded Futures (via Riseworks)
- Crypto: Accepted by My Funded Futures, Tradeify, Lucid Trading, and others via Rise
- Wire transfer: Purdia offers wire transfers alongside ACH
- Plane: DayTraders uses Plane for their automated payout system
- PayPal: Limited availability — check individual firm pages
Who Has the Best Payout Structure Overall?
There's no single "best" — it depends on what you prioritize:
- Fastest processing: DayTraders (~32 min automated)
- Best early-stage split: DayTraders (100% flat) or Apex (100% first $25K)
- Fewest between-payout requirements: My Funded Futures Rapid (no min profitable days, daily payouts)
- Highest long-term earning potential: Firms without lifetime caps — Alpha Futures, Topstep, Legends Trading
- Most frequent payouts: Purdia Capital (daily from Day 1), Lucid Trading LucidPro (every 3 calendar days)
